Maury Carter, a past receipient of the CFCAR Wilbur Strickland Lifetime Achievement Award, has passed away.  He was the founder of Maury Carter & Associates, and one of the people involved in assembling the land for Walt Disney in the 60's.  A Memorial Reception will be held on June 30th 6-8 PM at the Countrty Club of Orlando.  His full bio can be found by clicking HERE and is courtesy of Growth Spotter.

Eighteen commercial real estate professionals were recognized for their 2021 achievements on May 13th, as well as the presentation to James M. On April 25th and 26th, Facilitator Carol Kaptur led a group including members, past presidents and sponsors, to plan the future of our organizations and how to best serve the CRE community in an ever-changing landscape of technology, networking and education.

2022 President Lou Nimkoff stated that, "this was one of the best strategic planning sessions I have ever been a part of."

Participants included  Robin Kesler, Bob Rand, Mary Mula, Ellen Yarckin, Mez Birdie, Carol Tanner, and 2023 President John Wanamaker.

Carol Kaptur (pictured above) from the National Association of REALTORS, facilitated the day and a half session, which was held at the Florida  REALTORS building in Orlando.

Earlier this week, members of CFCAR and CFCREA invited the entire CRE community to "meetup" at the AC Skybar at the new Marriott AC Hotel next to Church Street Station in downtown Orlando.

While not technically a CFCAR hosted event, CFCAR and CFREA invited those in the CRE community to join in for free, gather and share a drink (or two) and help make deals.
